Come all ye tired, ye war-worn and weary, Come all ye playing The Game Sit for a minute relax, take a break To hear a tale of unknown fame
Once upon a time there was A knight noble and true A handsome heir his heart desired A prince with eyes of windy blue
The knight, he traveled far and wide To seek the lord of his dreams But once the lad the knight did find, The story was not as it seems
The minute he saw him the knight's heart beat For the happily smiling young man But little did the soldier know it was The center of an evil plan
The loyalty of the knight and The love that he had for his heir Is a story that has stood the trials of time And travels on breath in the air And the lord who loved his knight so much, oh, la-da-di-la-da-di-do Their adoration was for real-- As roses are red, violets are blue
Stolen away from his castle, Kidnapped by a thief in the night, The knight needed to find his heir, And so sought the seer of light.
The seer, a woman quick-witted and wise Could only see what came to pass She told of a place hidden deep in the forest And where he'd find the heir at last.
The knight, he ventured cross the land To seek out his captures amour The first of three places he'd stumbled upon Was a maze that was blocked by a door
Trapped in a forest, surrounded by scorpions With dragons guarding the four gates All the knight knew was that he had to rescue His heir before it was too late
The loyalty of the knight and The love that he had for his heir Is a story that has stood the trials of time And travels on breath in the air And the lord who loved his knight so much, oh, la-da-di-la-da-di-do Their adoration was for real-- As roses are red, violets are blue
The knight fought valiantly and fair, Stabbing at the dragon's head, And storming through poison with speed on his side, When he came out, his boots were red
And then, he came upon a place Salamanders farmed the dirt He trudged on through the earthen clay, The red soil stained his shirt.
The third place that he at last found Was haven to ruffian thieves, He challenged their leader to a duel So that the heir could leave
A beat like a rhythm sang through the air As half a sword clashed against scythe, And soon it appeared that it would be clear Only one would leave with their life
The loyalty of the knight and The love that he had for his heir A story that has stood the trials of time And travels on breath in the air And the lord who loved his knight so much, oh, la-da-di-la-da-di-do Their adoration was for real-- As roses are red, violets are blue
The heir, who could cleverly trick And fool those who weren't aware Tried to escape to help his knight Oh, how foolish of the heir!
Having gnawed at his rope for days Wishing he had larger teeth With one final SNAP! The strings came loose And now the heir was free
Armed with only a hammer, The heir leapt into the fray But the thief would have none of that; She swore that she would kill today
In order to make her escape, She stabbed her scythe to the knight's chest The knight collapsed to the floor with the scratch And took his well-earned rest.
The loyalty of the knight and The love that he had for his heir A story that has stood the trials of time And travels on breath in the air And the lord who loved his knight so much, oh, la-da-di-la-da-di-do Their adoration was for real-- As roses are red, violets are blue
The heir allowed the thief to run, And begged his knight, “Don't leave like this,” But the knight could only say, “My love, give me one last kiss.”
But the Time, I'm afraid, had wasted away And the minutes ticked on far too fast The heir pressed up his lips to the knight's And he breathed his last Breath at last
Now, the rumors say one day they'll meet In another life once again The question isn't who or what It's only a matter of when
Once upon a time there was A knight noble and true A handsome heir his heart desired A prince with eyes of windy blue
The loyalty of the knight and The love that he had for his heir A story that has stood the trials of time And travels on breath in the air And the lord who loved his knight so much, Though not all the story is true Their adoration was for real-- And I can see it in you

(A Ballad.)
Come all ye tired, ye war-worn and weary,
Come all ye playing The Game
Sit for a minute relax, take a break
To hear a tale of unknown fame
Once upon a time there was
A knight noble and true
A handsome heir his heart desired
A prince with eyes of windy blue
The knight, he traveled far and wide
To seek the lord of his dreams
But once the lad the knight did find,
The story was not as it seems
The minute he saw him the knight's heart beat
For the happily smiling young man
But little did the soldier know it was
The center of an evil plan
The loyalty of the knight and
The love that he had for his heir
Is a story that has stood the trials of time
And travels on breath in the air
And the lord who loved his knight so much,
oh, la-da-di-la-da-di-do
Their adoration was for real--
As roses are red, violets are blue
Stolen away from his castle,
Kidnapped by a thief in the night,
The knight needed to find his heir,
And so sought the seer of light.
The seer, a woman quick-witted and wise
Could only see what came to pass
She told of a place hidden deep in the forest
And where he'd find the heir at last.
The knight, he ventured cross the land
To seek out his captures amour
The first of three places he'd stumbled upon
Was a maze that was blocked by a door
Trapped in a forest, surrounded by scorpions
With dragons guarding the four gates
All the knight knew was that he had to rescue
His heir before it was too late
The loyalty of the knight and
The love that he had for his heir
Is a story that has stood the trials of time
And travels on breath in the air
And the lord who loved his knight so much,

Their adoration was for real--
As roses are red, violets are blue
The knight fought valiantly and fair,
