Kanaya read over the words for what seemed to be the 100th time - not that much of a task considering how little had actually been written.
Her fingers stroked the screen.
The information was useful to her and her friends, that much was true. But there was something else much more tantalizing about this very combination of words.
Something about the way that the words flowed always drew her in; She was helpless.
It is a shame, she always thinks when she reaches the final words, that the author never fully finished this work of art. It ends so abruptly without any real conclusion having been found... The open-endedness of the writing leads Kanaya to daydream.
She tried to write fanfiction once, even her own version of the tale. But in the end, it just because a self-insertion fantasy with the author as her matesprit.
Kanaya's favorite chapter is "[ZZZZ] Rose: Egress." There is just something so tantalizing and real about the desperation of the author in those few little sentences. The reader is brought in, punched in the gut, by the confusion and yearning of this character to seek the answers.
"You're on your own now."
The last 5 words of this piece of writing. But all Kanaya can do is forcefully think about how if this author and she met... lonliness would be the last thing they'd feel together.
The jadeblood sighs wistfully, touching her screen once more.
One day, Kanaya hopes to meet the author. She can't seem to track them down, as is often the case when stories such as this are posted to the internet.
But whoever this tentacleTherapist really is, Kanaya thinks they are literally perfect.
