Over the past several months, you and Kanaya have also redecorated the room that you two have claimed as your own, written several short stories centered around the adventures and travails of Zazzerpan and Calmasis, as well as at least one novel-length tale of forbidden romance and paranormal intrigue. And this is in between researching and writing your greatest epic, the tome that you hope will one day be the greatest sum of all knowledge ever collected about Sburb and its machinations.
You haven't passed through a dream bubble in a month and a half, and you've exhausted most topics of small talk with the other five (technically six, but you only ever see five) people on this meteor with you.
Frankly, you're bored.
You know Kanaya feels it too. It's all well and good for Karkat to argue endlessly with himself, or for Terezi and Dave and the Mayor to play in their chalk-and-can town, but you're Rose Lalonde. You need to be intellectually stimulated. You need things to occupy your brain. Kanaya is suffering from this lack of new and interesting things, too, and it shows.
So after a full day of doing nothing but pacing back and forth in your lovingly finished room, you turn to Kanaya and say, "Just how extensive is this meteor, do you know?"
Kanaya thinks about it, and shrugs. "I'm not quite sure. I do not believe that anyone has undertaken an actual methodical attempt to explore the whole thing."
You smile. You think you've just hit upon today's activity.
