Unfortunately, over the course of the next half-hour, it turns out almost none of your friends are both a)interested, and b)avalaible.

Tavros fumbles with hesitations until you get impatient enough that he squeaks out a no, Kanaya’s in the middle of preparing her fashion show, Sollux is an asshole who didn’t pick up the phone when you called and in fact changed Feferi’s message to not iinterested iin hangiing out with sweaty assholes wiith a domiinatiion kiink when you called her, you can’t get Gamzee to keep track of the conversation, and Karkitty’s answer can accurately be summed up as FUCK NO, though he spends the next two minutes detailing the depths of his abhorrence for the idea.

Vriska informs you she has too many irons in the fire. That’s too bad, she and Equius have this weird friendship that you like to pretend you don’t care about, but you’re actually really glad for him, even if it is Friska.

Even Terezi, who’s your good friend by all definitions, has told that she had a HOT H4T3D4T3.

The only one who’s said yes is Aradia, so now you have to find other people.

At Aradia’s last party, she thought it’d be fun to try and talk with ghosts. You spent the night fighting off angry spirits. That was cool, you can admit, but everyone already knows Equius is good to have on your side, and it hasn’t helped with this idea the others have that he’s boring yet!

And that’s everyone accounted for, though technically you guess you haven’t called Eridan.

> Reflect on whether you should call Eridan

That doesn’t even need thinking about. You’re trying to help Equius connect with the others, not make him suffer through an evening with the creepiest creep of creepdom. Last time Eridan was in the same room as the both of you, he suggested a flushed threesome.

And then you had to deal with Equius’ freak out.

You’re all for Equius letting his hair down a little, but Eridan was lucky you were too busy shooshing Equius to escape with his miserable fins intact. You’ve been looking for an oppawrtunity to remind him that cats eat fish, but you should keep that for another time.

Done.

No-one’s willing to come over and play into your master plan, which is something of a setback.

You were prepared for this eventuality.
