Fill: TEAM ERIDAN<3SOLLUX - POKEMON (1998)

Sollux Captor had been at the pokemon training game for only a week now but he had to say he and his charmander were doing fairly well. He had caught three pokemon so far (his favorite being a beedrill.) and won a few trainer battles thus far. This was going well.

Except he was lost. Not expected on a long journey and being equipped with a map that looked like it was drawn by a five year old. As it was, Sollux was not in his best of moods.

“Hey! You over there.”

Sollux looked up from his map to catch sight of another troll, this one clad mostly in purple and blacks. From the pokeballs on his belt Sollux had to guess he was another trainer. Looks like he was getting into another trainer battle.

“Let me guess. You want a pokemon battle?” Sollux asked. “You don’t look like you have much.”

The troll narrowed his eyes at that.

“Excuse me? I am Eridan Ampora and my pokemon can kick your pokemon collective asses any day of the week!”

Sollux rolled his eyes as he gripped a pokeball.

“Rightttt. Prove it then.”

The battle began. Sollux started with his beedrill. Eridan then let out his... magikarp. At first Sollux couldn’t believe he was actually seeing this. Then he started to laugh.

“This! You’re actually starting out with the worse pokemon ever?”

“Hey! Nero is NOT the worse pokemon ever. Stop hurting his feelings!” Eridan cried.

“Karp!” cried Nero.

Sollux laughed harder. That was when Eridan threw the Magikarp at Sollux’s face.

“Hey! Hey you can’t do that! That is not how pokemon battles work!”

“We’re not in a gym and I don’t see anyone around to enforce the rules.” Eridan said, looking for something else to throw.

Sollux responded to all this with throwing a empty pokeball at Eridan’s face. Of course since Eridan was not a pokemon it merely hit him in the eye before bouncing off and rolling away when it hit the grass.

“OW! My eye! You hit me in the eye!”

“Good! That’s what you get for throwing your own pokemon at me like that. Do you want to get arrested for pokemon abuse?” Sollux asked as he stepped over to retrieve his empty pokeball. Those things weren’t free after all.

Eridan felt his hit eye, wincing when he touched the area. Great. It was going to bruise. He just knew it. Even with the pain Eridan couldn’t bring himself to be too pissed at the other trainer. Though Eridan wouldn’t voice these thoughts he did realise that Sollux was in the right here.

That and he was kind of attractive. He glanced over to Sollux who was putting his beedrill back into its pokeball. Yup, still attractive. Eridan made a dramatic sigh as he went to pick up magikarp.

“Well... I guess you won fair and square.”

“Duh.”

“And since you won I guess I have to hand over some winnin money. Thing is I’m kind of tapped out at the moment...”

“That figures.”

“So, since I owe you...” Eridan said as he put a arm over one of Sollux’s shoulders. “I guess we’ll have to travel together until I can pay up.”

“Wait, what-”

Eridan didn’t give him a chance to finish.

“Yes! This is a great idea. So the plan is to head to the next town, uhh...”

“Sollux. But I-”

“Right, right. Sol, let’s get to that next town.”

And that is how Sollux find himself with a traveling companion on his pokemon journey.
