Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.

Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.

Rules

Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.

Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!

You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.

Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.

Scoring
For prompt posts: 5 points each (maximum of 100 per team)

For fills (as stated here):

Entries 16+ in each post: 5 (per entry)

Equius muttered to himself as he continued down the winding road, he feared at this rate they would surely be delayed from their destination by at least another half hour. Oh how he hated driving the company vehicles, they were so... Inefficient. Keeping his brow furrowed, he trod on the gas peddle with a bit more pressure. He really had a distain for being late, Nepeta had told him many times that his days at the office had worn in to his personal habits and that the rather tight assed "being on time" habit, was one of the many habits he had learned to pick up over the years.
Oh Nepeta, she had always reminded him of how much of a stick in the mud he was. Yet she refused to leave his side, always being there for him.
Even after all these years.
Equius looked over at his moirail, who lay sprawled out in rather ungraceful fashion in the passenger seat.
Her feet up on the dash, one hand curled around a cluster of papers, the other providing a rest for her chin.
He leaned over, eyes still on the road, and whispered

"Nepeta, are you awake?"

Nepeta let out a large yawn, flexing her whole body along with it. She turned her cat-like eyes toward Equius to unleash a wave of stare-daggers, for a 'cutesy cat girl' she certainly was fierce and unnerving at times.

"Well I am awake now, this better be impurrtant" she mumbled, her voice ridden with a sleepy stupor

"Oh, sorry, did I interrupt your catnap?"

"Yes"

"Oh... Sorry, never mind then. It's nothing"

Nepeta let out a huff, now she knew that nothing was a something. Shaking her head, and putting down the clenched papers she sat herself back upright and turned to look at Equius.

"Hey, look I'm sorry, you know how I get when I just wake up"

"It is always rather, unpleasant and a tad fear-inducing, I assure you"

"Well you snore, and you're a moist sleeper. You sweat, AND drool"

"I do no such thing"

"Do too"

"Do not"

"Do too!"

Nepeta let out a series of giggles, and Equius couldn't help but crack a smile. These little moments of silliness were always a treat to have, and what with all the busy days at the office, they seemed harder to come across. Oh but when they did come across them, even for a second, it was nothing but pure bliss. Equius let out a hearty sigh, but before he could put in a rebuttal of sorts, Nepeta managed to butt in before him.

"Now, tell me Mr.Zahhak, what seems to be on your mind? More about your weirdo crush on that lowblood in the eastern office district? You do know that your crushes tend to... well, crush you in turn"

Slightly blushing at the thought of the lowblood, shaking his head he replied

"No, no, none of that"

"Then what is it?"

"I just wanted to say, well, thank you"

Nepeta sat there with a slightly puzzled look on her face. As if she was about to ask, why he was thanking her. There seemed to be a rather long pause, with a moment of realization, another smile and a giggle she responded

"Thats what I'm here fur"

With smiles on both their faces, they continued to drive in silence. Not because there was no more to say, but because there was nothing that needed to be said. They both knew what the other was thinking, and what the other had meant, and their STRONG moirallegiance was solid proof of that.
But the silence would only last so long, as Nepeta spotted a drive by restaurant up ahead, and the friendly bickering, and food related shenanigans began. No towel, or napkin was safe.

oh right, Rose is perfect, how did it slip my mind?

Rose smiles at him in a way she learned from her mother, a smile that says I am doing you a kindness by being pleased with your behavior.
this is also a lovely line, cos I love the weird relationship between Rose and her mother, and what it says about how Rose's brand of toughness developed.

And I love how this fic is pseudo-secretly BURNING HOT. Rose is so clearly in it to win it, and Equius is so clearly dying on the inside in the best possible way.

this was a perfect kind of ridiculous that had me giggling nonstop. fire in the wardrobe. sexy, sexy lisping. ahahaha.

yep, they would be JUST LIKE THAT. the condesce's pleasant old-timey writing style and all. it's so beautifully creepy.
