BONUS ROUND 1

Bonus Round 1

Genre-Mixing

Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.

Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.

Rules
  1. Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.

  2. Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!

  3. You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.

  4. Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.

Title Format
If you are starting a new thread, please use this format in your title.

Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.
If your team name is not in this format and in the title we cannot guarantee that it will be counted.

If you are filling a prompt, use this format in your title.

Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.
If your team name is not in this format and in the title we cannot guarantee that it will be counted.

Posts not using this format in the title will be understood to be unofficial discussion posts, no matter what they contain. They, like all comments on the comm, are subject to the Wank Policy.

Scoring
For prompt posts: 5 points each (maximum of 100 per team)

For fills (as stated here):
First 5 entries in each post: 30 (per entry)
Entries 6-10 in each post: 20 (per entry)
Entries 11-15 in each post: 10 (per entry)
Entries 16+ in each post: 5 (per entry)

All scored content must be created/assembled new for this round.

If you have any questions, please ask them at the FAQ post here, or email them to us (homestuck.shipping at gmail). Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that we will see them in a timely fashion!

Oh, btw, you put "prompt" instead of "fill" in your subject line; you might want to repost this to make sure that you get the proper points for it!

(A:LKGHD:SALKDGH THANK YOU REX YOU HAVE SAVED ME)
Ah, man, this was a really fun fic to write. I hope it's at least along the lines of what you were looking for ;u;

“Over here, AA!” Sollux beckoned his moirail over. “There's the bathe, we can infiltrate from that window.”
“Sollux, I'm not sure that's a good idea. We could just walk in through the front door- they don't have very much security at all.”
Sollux made a shush noise. “You're no fun, AA.”
Aradia rolled her eyes. “Fine, we'll do it your way.”
Grinning, Sollux led her to the window. They were able to tread quite silently- the laboratories back at headquarters came up with shoes that let you hover above the ground. Perfect for spies.
Peering into the frame, Aradia made sure there was no one around, then slid the window open. She clambered in, landing softly on the ground before the shoes' technology kicked back in.
Sollux followed, landing with a bit more of a thump- though he began hovering just as quickly.
“Okay, we jutht have to go down the hallway into a door on the left. The treathure thould be in there.”
Aradia nodded, and stuck her head into the hallway. It looked clear, so she tapped a tiny button on the inside of her wrist. This button caused her tight skinsuit to become camouflage- blending in with whatever she walked in front of. Sollux did the same. Walking out into the open, they began making their way down the corridor with fast, tiny steps.
Signaling to Sollux, Aradia stopped in front of the door she guessed to be the right one. He walked around her, and inserted a tiny metal robot onto the doorknob. The robot flashed once, then skittered all the way around the knob. A click sounded, and Sollux opened the door, pocketing the robot once more.
He walked in slowly, looking around the room for cameras or guards. There were none.
“Geeth, thethe people really don't know how to protect thomething, do they?”
Chuckling a bit, Aradia replied, “Well, I don't believe they thought someone would wish to steal something as silly as this. It's not a huge deal, you know.”
“Why the fuck doeth the both want it, then?”
“Who knows? Boss does what he wants, he gets what he wants. He probably had a grudge against someone here, and wanted to poke at them.”
Grumbling to himself about 'alwayth following orderth', and 'I could be at home right now finithing up that program”, Sollux made his way up to the armoire in the front of the room. He opened it carefully, watching for any traps that may be set. Satisfied that there seemed to be none, he picked up the fist-sized box and placed it in a bag he carried at his hip.
“Let'th get out of here, I've got the box and I'm bored.”
Aradia grinned, and asked, “Don't you want to have any fun? We could mess with something here. Leave a little mark.”
“I like your thinking, AA. I knew there wath a reathon we became moirailth.”
He followed her back into the hall, where she continued in the direction they had headed. There were a few more doors, and she entered one. In this room, the setup was similar- no cameras, no guards. However, there was a table in the center, with a few books on it.
“I know, let's leave a message using the pages. Sound good?”
“Yeah, do it.”
The pair ripped out pages, and began spelling out the words 'learn t0 u2e 2ecuriity, iidii0t2'.

When they had finished, they high-fived and walked out of the room, back down the hall. They left through the same window, sliding it closed with a snap.
“Let's race back! Last one there has to buy lunch tomorrow!” Aradia ran- hovered, really- down the path they had followed to get to this hideout.
“Hey, wait! AA!” Sollux ran after her, feet almost pounding the ground. Her giggling trailed behind her, reaching Sollux's ears and bringing a grin to his face.
It was a job well done.

He had the blond in his sights. He wasn't hard to spot, just follow the trail of broken-hearted women at the black tie affair. Sure enough, Sollux found him perusing the gallery, musing at the Picasso's and the Dali's and the Van Gogh's. Reaching to adjust his glasses, Sollux pressed the small button under the wide frames and blue and red texts whirred across the inside lenses showing him the exact coordinates of the satellite and any information he could hack from the other guest's electronics while the other remained blissfully unawares. Several electronic signatures popped up with schematics from his query.

"AA, do you copy?" He mumbled, faking a sip of the expensive champagne.

"This dress is killing me," Came the muffled response in his ear.

"Ehehehe," a smile crept across his lips.

"Next time I get to wear the suit," She hissed.

"Lithten, do you want the lowdown on Double Oh Douche or Not?"

"Copy that," She sighed, her huff buzzing the small speaker in Sollux's ear.

"Thellphone left pocket with thignal jamming, writhtwatch ith a mini-tather, and the pen hath the jump drive with the codeth."

"Got it," She confirmed, "Coming in hot."

"I'll thay," Sollux jested as Aradia rounded the corner into the gallery, her tight sequenced maroon dress hugging her curves, a slit up the side showing off her olive skin, her hair long black tresses plated with tinsel.

"Shove it," She scoffed, "Doesn't the spy usually get the girl and kill the bad guy? Maybe I'll just turn on you."

"Jutht get the codeth and we can buy our own country," Sollux rolled his eyes as he headed for the observation deck where he could watch the coming proceedings with ease.

"Copy that," Her interest was piqued, "Going in for the kill."

Sollux smiled as he watched his partner saunter over to the target, who had a hard time hiding his obvious interests. He laughed to himself. It was so stereotypical for the world's leading super-spy to be prone to beautiful women. Sollux quietly climbed the marble stairs. He was going to enjoy this fireworks display.
