Mobius Double Reacharound FST - Revisited

Hi shippers! Welcome to Bonus Round 4! Bringing back a favourite from last year! (Sorry for the delay, we're very busy!)

Here’s how this is going to work: somebody will submit a selection of 3-6 songs without comment. Then somebody else will come along and create a companion fanwork to fit the soundtrack!

Rules

If you are submitting a soundtrack: submit only the track listing and download or youtube links. The idea is that people should ~interpret~ your selections!

You are not allowed to fill soundtrack prompts with your team's ship, nor are you allowed to fill your own soundtracks. (Filling your team's soundtracks is okay!)

Soundtracks count for 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.

Fills may be in whatever format you choose (except FST, of course) so long as they link the songs by mood and/or lyrics in some kind of narrative.

Post your fill as a comment to the prompt post, using the title format described below.

This challenge will run until 11:59PM EST August 3rd.

She speaks in a tongue you don't understand, all consonants accentuated with hisses and dark warbles. Everyone says she looks to be in a constant stage of rage, but you know better, you know Rose Lalonde, and that isn't anger. When she's angry, she looks calm and dangerous, she doesn't screech and writhe. No, this isn't rage, it's pain.

You ignore them, they don't know Rose like you do, not even Kanaya. You go right into Rose's chambers and spend time with her even though she spends most of her time asleep and when she isn't asleep she's destructive and non-responsive. You fell asleep in your chair once and woke up to her blasting a hole through the wall with her wand. The truth is, you still see Rose as Rose, while the other seem to think she's lost herself and been taken over by some dark forces. Quite frankly it pisses you off.

i thought being violent and murderous was a normal troll thing why are you all acting like rose going a little crazy is heralding the apocalypse

Everyone had a fair amount to say about that. Terezi insisted that what Vriska did wasn't right but it was different and Karkat ranted about having Gamzee completely under control thank you very much and there were different circumstances but all you heard was people excusing their friends while not cutting Rose the same slack. Kanaya was quiet during the entire thing and you're still not sure what her stance is on all of this. You know she was wary of Rose's drastic measures and interest in horrorterrors.

When you sleep, you try talking to the horrorterrors, but it makes you feel ridiculous. You're not a Seer, you don't know anything about being grimdark, and Rose's books are still in her sylladex somewhere. All you know is that you're certain Rose didn't intend for this to happen, that if she'd done it on purpose there would have been a reason for it like the first time it happened and she would be back to normal by now.

It feels like swimming in an endless ocean. You can't see more than a few feet ahead and you never run out of breath, maybe you don't even need to breathe. It's dark and cold and occasionally lonely, but you're not always aware and conscious enough to register that last emotion, or any emotion at all.

It feels like floating, like you don't have a care in the world. You don't have a body anymore, you just exist and you've always existed like this, there was nothing before. Nothing. No one.

A burst of red takes over your vision and it hurts. There's a ticking, like a clock, and it's infuriating and you want to smash it to make it stop and there's a weird feeling in your chest, except you don't have a chest and you don't have feelings, but if you did and you put a name to this one it would be...

You swear her eyes cleared for a moment, you swear there was recognition. You take her face in both your hands and force her to look at you. She sneers and pulls away but you don't let her get far, wrapping your arms right around her and holding her close.

She scratches her fingernails into your chest and says something in demonic-dolphian.

She shrieks and struggles in your hold.

The shriek becomes a whine and she suddenly looks exausted, collapsing forward against you. Kill me. Please. Kill me.

She falls asleep and you lay her back down to bed, seating yourself beside her. You have to admit that was a little scary and you have a feeling when she wakes up again, she'll be back to how she was before, not remembering that mini break through. You don't allow yourself to hope. You don't even want to care this much but you're way beyond that point. youre frustrating as hell, lalonde

You tell Kanaya what happened and she says to do what Rose asked, to kill her.

You really don't want to do it. What if this counts as either heroic or just? But Kanaya is probably right, there isn't another way or Rose wouldn't have so resolutely asked for her own death. If it's permanent, you'll still see her in the dreambubbles, you hope.

The next time you see Rose, you drive your sword through her chest.
