BONUS ROUND 1
Bonus Round 1
Genre-Mixing
Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.
Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.
Rules
- Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.
- Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!
- You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.
- Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.
Title Format
If you are starting a new thread, please use this format in your title.
Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.
If your team name is not in this format and in the title we cannot guarantee that it will be counted.
If you are filling a prompt, use this format in your title.

FILL: TEAM JAKE<3JANE
They had come from nowhere, in a burst of powerful sour green apple, and then following up with a tropical mix of explosions that burned thousands of civilians to death within the first minute. Fighting had proved futile, because they kept coming in wave upon wave of swift, merciless destruction. And as quickly as they had arrived to reign fire and death down from the charcoal blackened skies, they had vanished, leaving nothing but a smouldering planet behind.
Terezi isn't sure who's still alive, out of their group that had been Earth's feeble last stand against the unknown bringers of their demise. What she remembers last, after tirelessly blasting enemy after enemy out of the sky, is her sister going off on her own in a last gamble to drive them off, a single lucky roll of her dice that rendered her powerful and deadly, and then ducking into a subway as a building came down on her.
When she emerged, her world of colorful tastes and scents had all become dulled, dusty, and reeking of death and burning coals.
The tatters of her teal skirt cling to her legs, torn gloves proving useful when digging through rubble and dusted boots loud against broken concrete, following her nose and seeking nourishment after three long days in soupy black with only her cane, her trusty, light-bringing cane, to guide her down train tracks and to the thin daylight once again.
She hears the crumble of rock and feels the embrace of gentle arms around her waist that tell her that Aradia's caught up, and Terezi cracks a grin when the sound of splashing water coming from something in her hand reaches her ear.
"Is that blueberry tasting bottle you're carrying have what I think it does?" She giggles.
"Yup!"
She's never been fond of mineral water, but she doesn't care because it rinses her mouth free from dust and ashes and tastes like clear, cool heaven. Terezi downs half of it and hands it back to the source of that wonderful pomegranite scent source.
"Where'd you find this?"
"There's a supermarket down this street." A warm hand takes hers and pulls her in the direction her partner had come from, the only moving things that make noise in the midst of an empty, smoking city.
Later, stocked up on food and water, they'll move on, seeking anyone who's survived, but for now, in the aftermath of a battle that she was sure not all of them could have survived, Terezi's glad that, of all people to be stuck in a situation like this, it was her.
