BONUS ROUND 1
Bonus Round 1
Genre-Mixing
Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.
Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.
Rules
- Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.
- Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!
- You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.
- Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.

If you are starting a new thread, please use this format in your title.
Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.

PROMPT: TEAM GAM<>KAR
cyberpunk + urban fantasy
Re: PROMPT: TEAM GAM<>KAR
FILL: TEAM DAVE<3KARKAT
Cool, the red fairy thinks with a triumphant smile. I'm sure I could put this to good use.
All of a sudden, the wind picks up and rouses Aradia's hair, sending the dark strands flying. She makes a hasty attempt to gather it all back, tucking her newfound treasure under her arm as she does this. Aradia spins around, mahogany eyes flashing about, searching. She's on edge, hair on the back of her neck standing straight up.
Someone is on her territory.
Aradia allows herself to get a bit of leverage before setting down her treasure and taking off, wings flittering and bringing her further upwards into the sky. She figures whoever has tread on her turf is most likely a landwalker that she can easily observe from above. With a roll of her shoulders, she waits for the intruder to approach.
It doesn't take long for a form, pompous with their chin held high, to saunter into view. They make a break for one of her piles of assorted treasure. This particular pile was one of her favorites; piled high with trinkets that she adores. Looking around shiftily, the stranger picks up a gold bracelet and stashes it in their pocket. Anger prickles at Aradia's skin, and she starts towards the thief with a sneer twisting down her features.
She lands soundlessly. A girl, jacket pockets now stuffed with Aradia's treasure, stands before her, one eyebrow quirked at her in challenge. Aradia takes a step backwards in surprise. The girl has an asset Aradia didn't anticipate: wings. The set of flickering, cerulean wings flash with the binary they're made up of, taking on the appearance of a hologram. She stares at them in shock, mouth gaping and fists clenching. Well, at least this will be an even fight, she muses to herself.
"Just what do you think you're doing here, thief?" Aradia questions carefully, making sure to put a great amount emphasis on the word thief.
"I don't know what you mean!" the girls snarks.
Aradia rubs her temples. "I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't play dumb with me."
"I'm doing no such thing." she guffaws, bottom lip puffing out in a pout.
"Look, we both know exactly of this ruse you're putting on. Let me get something straight. I don't care if you're landwalker or fairy. If you steal my treasures, I've got a pretty big bone to pick with you." Aradia's eyes narrow into slits as she gives this warning. Her chest swells after this little speech, and her lips quirk up into a half-smile in spite of herself.
"Ooh, this is treasure?" the thief says, reaching into her pocket and taking out a golden bracelet.
"Don't you dare. That bracelet is fragile and probably worth thousands of dollars!" As soon as these words are out of Aradia's mouth, she wishes she hadn't said them.
The thief turns her palm holding the bracelet towards the ground, squeezing. Aradia hears a SNAP so loud that it makes her ears ring as she watches the thief drop the bracelet. She stomps on it, heel of her boot digging into the dirt and toe twisting around.
Aradia flies towards her without a second's hesitation, hands balled into the tightest of fists. She is going to make her pay.
She aims a kick at the thief's head, missing by only an inch or so before she catches her by her foot.
"Let me go!" Aradia yells, attempting to free herself from her grip.
"But we haven't been properly introduced. I'd feel awfully rude," the fairy thief girl snickers. "The name's Vriska."
"I'm Aradia. Now, could you let me go so I can properly kick you into the next trash heap over?" Vriska loosens her fingers around Aradia, and Aradia's foot easily slips out of her grasp.
This time, Aradia goes for Vriska's stomach. Vriska, however, sees the intention of her movement and blocks her, grabbing her wrist and giving it a sharp twist. Aradia yelps in pain, clawing her free hand towards Vriska's throat.
Without a warning, Vriska angles her face towards Aradia, blue lipstick-tinted lips securing a grimace. At first, Aradia thinks Vriska is going to headbutt her, but she doesn't. Vriska smashes her mouth to Aradia's, working hungrily on Aradia's bottom lip. The red-winged fairy nearly falls backwards in shock.
"I-I don't kiss...thieves..." Aradia splutters around Vriska's lips.
Vriska pauses for a moment. "And I don't kiss selfish, red loner fairies."
Aradia digs her fingers into the skin on Vriska's neck, while Vriska proceeds to tangle her own digits through Aradia's hair. The red and blue fairies kiss angrily, tongues wrestling the other for dominance. Vriska gives Aradia's arm another good twist, causing Aradia to jam her nails deeper into Vriska's flesh.
This will take a while, Aradia decides. Best not to waste a second of it.
