Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.

Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.

Rules

Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.

Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!

You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.

Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.

It's all over the news by now. Somehow the company had been infiltrated and the information is all over the media. My mother's company is exposed, cut open for display to the world. I would be afraid of losing everything if it even mattered. But the fact of the matter is that it doesn't. The company's biological experiment is already among the public. It's just a matter of time now....

My mother is far away from the mainland by now. I can't help but find some comfort in this fact despite how she practically abandoned me. She promised to come back for me, but I know well enough by now just how my mother's promises usually pan out. At least the building is secure for now. Eridan says we'll probably have to "abandon ship" at some point. Equius says the doors are strong enough to hold until help arrives. I just hope help arrives before the supplies runs out.

day fifteen

Equius left almost two days ago to find Nepeta and bring her here. No word from him yet..... I've tried calling and texting him, but he hasn't replied yet. Eridan stares at me every time I check my phone for word of him. I know what he's thinking, but I'm glad that he's keeping his mouth shut for once.

State wide panic at this point. I wish there was something I could do, but mother is the only one with the access codes to the Crocker Corp. armory. Even then I don't even know where I would start. Eridan is better with these sort of things, but he doesn't even want to think about anything beyond the walls of this building beyond an emergency escape plan. I miss our friends. I hope they're okay.

I managed to get the access codes from my mother yesterday. There are weapons in there that I've never even heard of. Most of the employees have never even held a gun, but Eridan seems completely at ease with a rifle in his hands. He's even been less crabby since he found it. He told me that he'll teach me how to protect myself with a gun just in case.....

I've gotten much better at shooting. Eridan says I'm a fast learner and I'll do just fine. He keeps implying that we're going to have to jump ship soon. He knows that we're running low on supplies and anyone with a scrap of sense can see that help isn't coming any time soon.

Eridan and I left in the company's helicopter several days ago. The only other person we brought with us was the helicopter pilot. I feel guilty about abandoning my staff, but there was no way we could have gotten everyone out. The helicopter ran out of fuel, so for now we're on foot.

Walter (the helicopter pilot) was bitten. Eridan..... Eridan can be so cruel. There is probably no one better in the world to protect me, but sometimes I can't stand him. The second he saw the bite he shot Walter between the eyes. He didn't even give me a chance to say goodbye.

We've been steadily making our way towards the coast since we were forced to land. Just yesterday Eridan and I encountered another couple of survivors heading in the same direction. Two girls: Jade and Rose. We've decided to stick together for a greater chance of survival.

It's great having Jade and Rose along with us. I didn't realize how much I missed the company of other girls before this. Rose is so witty and by gosh does she know how to make me laugh! Jade is super smart and tough as nails, but at the same time incredibly sweet and bubbly and gosh she's really pretty. I'm just rambling more than anything at this point. I'm sorry! I'm just more happy than I can remember being in a while!

I can't believe this happened while I was visiting with Rose! It's so awful, but at least I can get her and her mom to grandpa's island where it will be safe.

Rose's mom isn't doing so good..... We stopped at a gas station to fuel up and she was attacked at the gas pump while Rose and I were buying ammo from the gas station clerk. The gas station clerk helped us save her and he's been letting us tend to her in the back room, but she's already running a fever and she looks so pale....

Rose is going to hate that man for a long time, but I couldn't be more thankful that he was there. I was going to kill Rose's mom before Rose had to see her turn. But the gas station clerk saw what I was going to do and he stopped me to do it himself. One day she'll understand.

We stopped to look for supplies today and finally managed to get a hold of Rose's brother in Texas. Apparently the infection was sectioned off before it could even reach Texas, but no one is allowed past the blockade. Survivors are being shot down for so much as approaching. We're closer to the coast than we are to the blockade anyways--our best bet is to make it to Grandpa.

There seems to be more of them every day. I'm so worried that I won't be able to protect Rose. It's silly of me to even think that Rose needs my protection, but she's my best friend and I don't want her to get hurt....

I was finally able to make contact with Grandpa today. He gave me the name of the port where his ship will be docked. From there he'll take us home. I'm so tired. The word home is music to my ears. I can't wait to see Bec.

We met two other survivors on the road. Their names are Eridan and Feferi. We figure that sticking together is our best option. I'm sure Grandpa won't mind two more passengers.

We're only a handful of days from our destination. I'm so happy I could burst! Feferi is a great travelling companion. I was feeling so exhausted and unhappy even with Rose by my side, but Feferi just lifts my spirits right up! Even Eridan and Rose's bickering can't drag me down!

Eridan can pretend he hates her all he wants, but I can see right through him! It's so obvious he likes Rose it's almost painful to watch. I hope Rose likes him too! I'll talk with Jade about it. I love talking with her.

Feferi came to talk with me while I was taking a turn to watch over camp. Something so weird happened! Not bad weird though! It was just really unexpected I guess.... We were just talking and laughing, then Feferi said that she really likes me.Then, she kissed me, but I didn't know what to do! She was so upset that she just ran back to the tent... when I get a chance I'll pay her back for sure! I really like Feferi too, in a girlfriend smoochy kind of way.

I'm so embarrassed about what happened with Jade. I can't even look at her. Gosh, I'm such an idiot. Eridan keeps looking at me funny instead of arguing with Rose. Rose has been giving me the same funny looks. If I wasn't so freaked out about Jade all my energy would go into getting those two together!

How could this happen? We're just a day away from the port how could this happen??? Poor Eridan.... poor Feferi. Rose isn't taking it as badly as Feferi, but she's so out of it. We can't travel like this. We have to wait another day before completing the trip to the port. Sorry, Grandpa.

We finally made it. Feferi has been so upset these past couple of days that I didn't even think of talking with her about being girlfriends. But as Grandpa was pulling out of port she wrapped her arms around me and kissed me like we're already dating. So I guess we are??? I'm happy, but at the same time I can't help but feel like the kiss was somehow influenced by our situation...... I'm so tired, though. I don't think I have it in me right now to argue with or question the best thing that's happened to me since this whole mess started. Feferi wants to sleep in my cabin--in my bed--and quite honestly that just sounds really great at the moment.
