BONUS ROUND 1
Bonus Round 1
Genre-Mixing
Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.
Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.
Rules
- Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.
- Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!
- You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.
- Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.
Title Format
If you are starting a new thread, please use this format in your title.
Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.
If your team name is not in this format and in the title we cannot guarantee that it will be counted.
If you are filling a prompt, use this format in your title.

FILL: TEAM ERIDAN<3<SOLLUX
They said he wouldn't live past 5, but here was Sollux Captor, 13 years past his expiration date, still trudging through his miserable existance. They said something in his brain was wrong, his wires were crossed, and the migraines, dizzy spells and occasional blackouts were things he would live with the rest of his life. He knew he was a burden to his friends and family, couldn't even sustain a regular job to help offset his medical visits and therapy.
He'd always hated the little checkups with Dr. Scratch, the old fool always had a way of making him feel insignificant, and helpless, like he knew everything about the world like some omnipotent being. But...since he passed away, Sollux had begun seeing a new therapist, one of the first ladies in her profession, and Doctor Lalonde was a lady in every sense of the word. Her smile was enough to reassure him, that things could be better. Would be better. She didn't look down on him, in fact, he looked at her more as a friend he was visiting, rather than someone he was required to see. Their conversations often led nowhere in particular, and after a time, it seemed that she was just as sad as he was when the grandfather clock chimed 3, signaling the end of his time, and the beginning of her next appointment.
She'd been doing everything in her power to help him, putting in long hours of research, writing letters to those at the forefront of medicine. One evening, he was surprised by a feverish knocking at his door, and he opened it to find Rose, panting as if she'd run the whole way. "Sollux, I found someone. I found someone who I think can help." She grabbed him by the hand, "Pack your things, we're to be in London tomorrow."
"Tho thith ith thuppothed to fix me?" he swallowed, eyeing the leather bindings being tightened on his limbs. She nodded, taking his hand.
"This new procedure will actually rewrite some of your genetic code, hopefully correcting your misfiring neurons in your cortex." Rose refused to leave his side during the procedure.
"But what if I'm not the thame perthon when I wake up....if I wake up. What if I don't remember anything?" He gripped her hand, afraid that she would slip through his fingers. Tears were forming in the corners of his eyes, he didn't want to forget, didn't want to be a new person...he just wanted to be normal.
"I will help you remember." She said, as she leaned forward, kissing Sollux as the needle entered his arm, the miracle serum searing its way through his veins, as the light of her love burned brightly in his heart.
