Genre-Mixing

Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.

Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.

Rules

Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.

Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!

You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.

Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.

Title Format
If you are starting a new thread, please use this format in your title.

Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.

Scoring
For prompt posts: 5 points each (maximum of 100 per team)

For fills (as stated here):
First 5 entries in each post: 30 (per entry)
Entries 6-10 in each post: 20 (per entry)
Entries 11-15 in each post: 10 (per entry)
Entries 16+ in each post: 5 (per entry)

All scored content must be created/assembled new for this round.

Vriska <3 John: Highschool AU, Supernatural

Vriska gasped as her back hit the wall, John instantly pulling her down with him. He cupped a hand over her mouth and motioned towards the door to the side. It was the science lab. Eyes flashing in understanding, Vriska nodded and John carefully removed his hand.

Both teenagers cautiously got up, light on their feet as the moved as fast as they could towards the lab while still making as little noise as possible. John reached the door first but hesitated with his hand on the doorknob. Vriska rolled her eyes at him and mouthed encouragement. Nodding quickly, John pulled the door open and rushed in.

As Vriska made her way towards the open door, John poked his head back out signalling that the coast was clear. She hurried in after him and closed the door behind her as she entered the lab. As she clicked the lock shut, the two of them let out twin sighs of relief.

"Ghosts? Seriously?!" Vriska shouted.

John shushed her, "Yeah really. Now hurry up and help me find some salt."

"Tell me the truth John, this is some stupid Ghostbusters crap you're pulling on me isn't it?"

"Hey!" John pulled away from rifling through drawers, "Ghostbusters is a great movie! And you'd know that if you hadn't fallen asleep when we watched it at my place last week."

"Please John, it was booooooooring! I was actually hoping we'd watch Con Air again or something."

"Well I--" John fell silent as the lights in the room began to flicker. He looked at Vriska and she watched him with wide eyes.

"Salt you said?"

"Yeah."

"And you're sure it'll work?"

"I..." John faltered. He'd only ever seen stuff like this in movies and TV Shows. Was he sure it would work? No, he wasn't. But, they really didn't have any better options at this point.

"Nevermind," Vriska smiled at him, "Don't worry John. We've got this. Whatever we need to do, we'll do it."

John found himself smiling back and quickly resuming his search. Before long, they had both found a decent supply of salt and begun lining the entrances to the room with it. Once that was done, John made a circle with salt and guided Vriska into the center of it, joining her shortly after.

They sat in the circle silently before John risked snaking his hand into Vriska's, "I'm sorry."

Vriska looped up at him in surprise, "For what?"

"This wasn't exactly how I planned for our first date to go." John grinned at her sheepishly.

Vriska stared at him for a moment before laughing, "Are you kidding? Anywhere and everywhere I go with you is perfect John. Movies are great. Dinner is awesome. But a little adventure? That's the best!"

John watched her in shock, "Really?"

Vriska gripped his hand tighter in hers and leaned in towards him, resting her forehead on his lightly, "Really."

The lights flickered and they broke apart.

"First thing's first though. We've got get rid of this ghost."

John smiled at her teasingly, "Who you gonna call?"

Vriska glared.
