Genre-Mixing

Hey, shippers! Welcome to your very first bonus round proper--we hope you have lots of fun with it! This time around we're going to be asking you to mix it up a little--each fanwork posted for this round will be a mish-mash of two different genres, blended together in a delightful incestuous slurry to create an UNSTOPPABLE CREATIVE CONCOCTION--er. Or. Something.

Yeah, we're genre-mixing. That's what we're doing this round.

Rules

Submit prompts! Prompts should consist of two different genres and one ship. This cannot be your team's ship! These are worth 5 points each, for a maximum of 100 points per team.

Look through the prompts and fill whichever you like!

You may not fill prompts for your ship, nor may you fill your own team's prompts.

Fills should be posted as replies to the prompts which they are for, following the format below. They may be any medium.

Title Format
If you are starting a new thread, please use this format in your title.

Replace [YOUR SHIP] with the name of the team YOU belong to; please use the characters and quadrant, not whatever portmanteau or nickname you've come up with.
If your team name is not in this format and in the title we cannot guarantee that it will be counted.

Scoring
For prompt posts: 5 points each (maximum of 100 per team)

For fills (as stated here):
First 5 entries in each post: 30 (per entry)
Entries 6-10 in each post: 20 (per entry)
Entries 11-15 in each post: 10 (per entry)
Entries 16+ in each post: 5 (per entry)

All scored content must be created/assembled new for this round.

Roxy<3Equius.

It takes no time at all for the freshman girl to take out all five of the seniors. She flips one over her shoulder and the other over her hip into the other two. The last pulls a knife on her but the moment he takes a swing at her, she's knocked his arm aside, taken the knife from his hand and thrown him to the ground. The first one has recovered and tries to fling a spell at her, but she simply outstretches her hand and catches it. Her fist clenches and the spell fizzles into nothingness.

The boy gasps. "You're a nullifier!"

"Damn straight. Now get the fuck out of my face before I nullify your face."

They scramble, leaving her alone with another boy who had come up while they were fighting.

"Quite impressive, milady." He comments. "It's been some time since I've seen such martial prowess. Even longer since I've seen a fellow void mage."

She raises one light eyebrow at him. "You're one too, huh?"

He nods. "For a time, I was the only one in this school. Obviously this has changed. Were you the only in your former place of education?"

"Yeah," she shrugs. "So, any idea why those chumps decided to pick on lil' old me?"

"They're the lower members of the school's 'elite'." He sniffs with disdain. "They believe they will rise in prestige if they defeat the newer members of the institution."

"Like a rite of passage?"

"Something like that."

"Huh," she smirks. "Sounds like fun to me. Aint no chump weaklings who're gonna beat me up. Don't care what their wizard rank is."

He smiles, admiring the confidence the girl displays. "I don't doubt that, Milady."

"Milady? I like that," there is something seductive in the way she smiles at him, getting a really good look at him for the first time. He stands tall and proud, dark hair and deep blue eyes under a strong brow, arms rippling with muscle. Roxy is pleased to note that he seems a little flustered at her scrutiny.

He clears his throat. "I am Equius Zahhak, Eldest child in the Azure house of magi. And yourself, milady?"

"Roxy Lalonde," his eyes widen as most do as her name, but she is used to it. She extends her hand, but to her surprise, instead of shaking it, he lifts her hand up and brushes his lips lightly over her knuckles.

"It is a pleasure to meet the daughter of the great Seer. You are clearly more than worthy of the fame that precedes you."

Now it's Roxy's turn to be flustered.

"Uh, thanks... That's sweet of you." She's not used to praise directed at herself. More worthy than her fame?

"It is simply the truth, Lady Lalonde."

"Call me Roxy. Lalonde makes me think my mom's here."

"My apologies then, Lady Roxy."

"Oh, hey, no need to be sorry." She shakes her head. "Anyway, why don't you show me around, and give me the details on these elite. The teachers don't do anything to stop it?"

"They stop only what they see. Mages tend to be... difficult to catch."

"Understatement of the fucking century. But I'll get 'em. I don't like people who think they can bully others."

And there is a look in her eye as she says this that catches his attention, and keeps it.
