Hey, shippers! This is the last bonus round, which we’re all very sad about. So let’s talk about some of the awesome stuff created throughout the HSO!

Rules

3. Each recommendation must include at least three full sentences about why it’s awesome. Please use the format specified below.

a few of my favorite bonus round 4 fills!!!

Why I’m recommending it: (warning: blood, death) i'm a sucker for any take on this sequence from any perspective, doomed timeline or not, but vriska's point of view is my favorite. and this little fic does such an amazing job of capturing her mindset in so few words! i love how vriska's motivations stop being totally self-aggrandizing in the face of her friends' death. also the language builds the mood so well.

Why I’m recommending it: (warning: incest) i love "oh no they're not" moments, and i especially love derse kids getting flustered by technical incest. this fill accomplishes both of these and it's so, so funny. i'm really glad i had the opportunity to read rose whispering shitty rap lyrics in dave's ear. if i had the time i'd recommend all of megaparsecs' fills for this (and any) bonus round. this one might've been my favorite of theirs though.

Why I’m recommending it: this fill hit all of my favorite things about dave/terezi. dave is utterly confused but definitely turned on and terezi seems to know exactly what she's doing. i only wish the fic were longer. it's beautifully self-contained but it's also such a promising beginning!

Why I’m recommending it: this fill is good. i love the way terezi is only seen through dave's perspective so she comes off as this pointy, untouchable goddess. every sentence adds to dave's desperation. by the end you’re set up with this sense of dread surrounding a possible abandonment. it comes off so well and you just want it to work out in spite of dave's unhealthy dependency. man i dont know this was just really good.

Why I’m recommending it: this is one of the cutest illustrations to come out of this bonus round! i love jade’s old fashioned pearl necklace and her giant bass and her adorable cropped hair. rose’s classic black dress and her matching sash and flower are equally cute. it is all around a really, really cute, feel-good picture!

Why I’m recommending it: aaugh this fill is so gorgeous where do i begin! i will forever envy artists who can combine colors like magedon has. the color choices they are so conducive to the mood and are basically 100% perfect. nepeta’s big jacket and her bare feet are the cutest things. both of their faces are so expressive and combined with the minimal contact between the two work really well.

Why I’m recommending it: the gambler is such a great song to include in a soundtrack like this, and john is such a good character to attach to it. i love the comfortable posturing and their expressions, gosh. john’s big doofy smile is super cute next to rose’s reservedness. the lighting also really adds to the image’s happy feel. basically this picture makes me smile a lot :) :) :)

Why I’m recommending it: i got this fill for one of my soundtracks and i was so excited! i think it’s p clear i was angling for vriska/tavros but i didn’t expect anything like this. it’s a great interpretation of the songs and of the pairing simultaneously. this fill is such a beautiful image on its own, and it’s a great visual representation of tavros and vriska’s dynamic.

Why I’m recommending it: wwwwwow. perfect lyric selection with perfect accompanying images for eridan and feferi’s relationship. the first image has such beautiful colors and i think im in love with those clouds. they are illustrated so nicely. the second image’s high contrast is so attractive and the composition with eridan's wings, cape, and scaf is gorgeous. just really, really good. 10/10. a+.

gosh, thank you!! : ) im glad you liked my br fills, there is nothing i wish for more in life than to write rose whispering about booties and the finding thereof into dave's ear.
